Recently, I’ve found the project in progress 'Hullabaloo':
It’s about a young scientist named Veronica Daring, who’s father had gone missing. Determined to follow a trail of clues, she ends up at an abandoned amusement park where she meets a girl named Jules, a fellow inventor. Veronica and Jules proceed to discover that the kidnappers are wealthy and influential figures who can’t be stopped openly. Assuming the identity of ‘Hullabaloo’, Veronica disguises as a crusader who uses wits and science to combat evil.
And now, here’s some of the reasons why I recommend supporting the story: 1) It will be a feature quality 2D animated project, 2) It will artfully revive the steampunk genre, 3) Both main protagonists are strong, witty, intelligent females who are created to encourage young girls to become inspired by science.
GUYS, we’re getting well rounded female leads in a steampunk feature created by various Disney animators that’s attempting to revive 2D animation. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE IT?
The project’s got to a month before it closes funding, please support it here, I promise you’ll love it.
James Lopez is a veteran Disney animator (The Lion King, Pocahontas, Paperman) who is trying to raise funding for his primarily hand-drawn short film, Hullabaloo, with hopes of eventually finding a studio to fund a full-length version.
From the film’s IndieGo page:
Hullabaloo is the story of Veronica Daring, a brilliant young scientist who returns home from an elite finishing school to find her father—the eccentric inventor Jonathan Daring—missing without a trace! The only clue left behind points Veronica toward Daring Adventures, an abandoned amusement park used by her father to test his fantastical steam-powered inventions. There she discovers a strange girl named Jules, a fellow inventor who agrees to help Veronica in locating her missing father and discovering the secrets of his work.
In addition to helping save 2D animation, Hullabaloo aims to encourage girls to explore science and adventure. The film’s two protagonists are both young women and both scientists who use their intellect, wits, and courage to fight greed and corruption. We hope that Veronica Daring and her friend Jules will serve as positive role models for girls of all ages and encourage them to get excited about science, engineering, and sci-fi.

Understood? I draw her more often than you think, I just can’t post too much. This is the result of my procrastination. I’m getting really excited about this story now, I’m really progressing to make this as great as I hoped!
This is my first attempt on animating on photoshop :)
I had a lot of fun on this !
Mon premier test d’animation sous photoshop ! Je me suis vraiment bien amusé sur cette image ! :)
since you have wakened her again,
she depends on you, she depends on you.
New OC, currently nameless. But I’m thinking ‘Jivanta’, does that sound good? (Ignore the really bad quality that the scanner had produced ugh)
250 layers later and I’m finally done! Here’s a dancing queen to cheer up your day…
